FortumGO demonstrating autonomy in 18km roadtrip in Helsinki assisted by remote driving from Fleetonomy.ai

Fortum, VTT and Fleetonomy.ai

Fleetonomy.ai took part in successfully demonstrating assisted remote driving with VTT autonomous driving solution in the FortumGo project. The 18km roadtrip from Helsinki/Vantaa airport to Pasila had the goal of showing the electrification, connectivity and automation of mobility. To see how autonomous and electric vehicles will influence traffic, reducing pollution and CO2 emissions. Therefore, as a forward-looking company, Fortum wants to be at the forefront of researching and creating sustainable, resource efficient solutions in this field.

Stephen Sutton, Operations Manager at Fleetonomy.ai, also said:“This is history in the making. Our team is dedicated to delivering support for autonomous solutions, enhancing safety and being at the forefront of the future of driving . We pay attention to detail, and this gives us the visibility to conduct our operations in environments such as today, with ease. I’m very proud of our team and this achievement. We now move on to our next challenges in these very exciting times.
